Quality Vs Price - Computer Components

Since the birth of eBay computer parts and accessories have become cheaper and cheaper - mainly due to people importing - unfortunately this has meant that quality is out the window as price becomes the focus - a false economy.

Whilst it is great when you look at the price and think you are getting a bargain- the computer component quality is so poor often leading to early breakdowns and even other conflicts within your computer system.

If you buy brand name computer components then one thing that you can pretty much guarantee is quality. At JBO Solutions we try and only select the brands of computers and computer parts that people trust and can rely on.

Yes it is true that you may be able to pick up a TFT monitor from a unknown brand name for £10 - £20 cheaper than buying an LG TFT Monitor or a TFT Viewsonic Screen - but what happens if this computer monitor goes wrong? Basically you can do very little as the support does not exist.

Likewise if you buy any other cheap computer components, what are the chances of finding that latest up to date Vista driver or support manual? Certainly you will be lucky to even find the manufacturers website - you will be even more fortunate if the website is in English and it will be a miracle if the driver you were looking for is available.

All this should be taken into account when considering which brand of computer components to go for.

Quality is a big issue these days. we are more and more reliant on our computers and a breakdown of a cheap and nasty computer part could put you out for days. It may not even be initially obvious that the cheap computer part you bought is causing your issue. Think of the time it could take to solve the issue - all because you wanted to save a few quid on a cheap and nasty PC part!

So the moral of the story here is yes, try and find the lowest price on computer parts or PC components but find the cheapest price on a brand name that you know and trust. This will ultimately make your life easier in the long run and be the kindest on your wallet.
